Description

full Vector illustration , depict of the saint Bartholomew. This has no meant as sarcastic and or other negative purpose since there's even no elements which relevant to any negative meanings but it does contain ironic impression which i want deliver from this artwork. Be faithfull my friend and enjoy :)

PS: the reason of why i didn't draw the face is because i want this artwork achieve the feels without excluding the respect of the Saint himself as one of those whom refusing to worship pagan gods.

The demonic nature of the pagan gods is shown in the cruelty attributed to the persecutors of the brave saints.

Most likely, a lot of the insane cruelty was fictional, save for the beheading finale. St. Erasmus, traditionally eviscerated by a windlass, was actually only standing next to one on a ship, as he calmed a storm. The windlass was just to raise or lower the anchor.

During the storming of the Bastille, a suit of armor and an old printing press found in the cellar, were mistaken for torture machines and excited the sick imaginations of the subhuman mob.

Maybe I should, while I'm at it, mention the mad exaggerations in the books of the Maccabees, of the skinning alive of some Jews who refused to eat or even pretend to eat, pork.
